Nippon hand-painted pieces are from the Nippon era, which lasted from 1891 to 1921. The word "Nippon" is Japanese for "Japan". VERY OLD *THIS BELONGED TO MY LATE, GREAT AUNT LORETTA LEDBETTER GROOM AND WAS GENEROUSLY DONATED BY HER DAUGHT, BETH GROOM GOBBLE.
